Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

EFT is painless, quick and effective.  It needs no equipment, special scripts and costs nothing to do. It can be done anywhere, by anyone and for anyone!  It works on fears, phobias, cravings, habits and physical discomforts. We say “Try it on anything!”

EFT is an effective and efficient technique to ease anxiety, fear and worry prior to medical and dental procedures.  It can be used during a hypnosis session, on an airplane or before a major work presentation!  It is proven to desensitize responses for post-traumatic memories, situations and nightmares. And the best part is, it is effective even if the client doesn’t believe it will work!

What is EFT?

EFT is a systematic process of tapping along the end points of the body’s energy meridians.  Energy disruptions are caused by emotions (i.e., fear, worry) which in turn creates a physical response or reaction  (i.e., anxiety). By tapping along the end points of the body energy meridians, we can clear the energy disruption.  When we clear the energy disruption, the physical response or reaction to that emotion is decreased.

Our feelings guide us as our eyes, ears, and other senses do. Our feelings flow from our perceptions and understandings of our experiences and beliefs. Feeling “bad” is a signal from our subconscious or unconscious mind that tells us that we are not fulfilling some human need, want or desire.  For example: feel lonely. The pain is there to motivate us to seek companionship.  Once we understand the secret language, we use that information. Feelings lead motivate us to take the actions we need to take in order to take good care of ourselves and the people we care about.

Problems occur when we try and stuff, swallow away, or otherwise try to deny our feelings.  Dissociation from our emotions leads to internal stress.  Internal stress affects our emotional, psychological and physical health and well-being. Once we can identify our feelings and learn what those feelings mean, they are a powerful means to free ourselves from addictions, self-defeating and harmful habits. When we learn what the particular feeling means, then we can use them to give us directions in life.
